Europe’s premier greenfield jazz festival, Love Supreme, will welcome the legendary Smokey Robinson for his first UK performance in over 15 years. Taking place from July 4th to 6th, 2025, at Glynde Place in East Sussex, the event promises to be a highlight of the summer music season.
Smokey Robinson, one of music’s most influential figures, rose to fame as the frontman and songwriter for Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. As a solo artist, he delivered classics such as Being With You and Cruisin’. His songwriting legacy includes iconic tracks like My Girl (The Temptations), Ain’t That Peculiar (Marvin Gaye), and My Guy (Mary Wells).
The 2025 festival will also feature an array of outstanding artists. Highlights include En Vogue, the chart-topping R&B group behind Don’t Let Go (Love) and Free Your Mind; soul revivalists Thee Sacred Souls; jazz fusion pioneer and four-time Grammy-winning bassist Stanley Clarke; ethereal, Grammy-winning singer Arooj Aftab; five-time Grammy-nominated saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin; award-winning rapper Sampa The Great; saxophone virtuoso Branford Marsalis; singer and poet Jamila Woods; retro-soul favourites Durand Jones & The Indications; and funk-rock trailblazers WAR, celebrating 50 years of Low Rider.
Triple Grammy-winning soul star Maxwell will headline the festival’s Sunday night, marking his first UK show in nine years and his only UK appearance of 2025.
