As an employer, we’re collaborative in how we work both in the UK and overseas, supporting one another and sharing our successes and challenges. All staff are encouraged to embody our DIT values: being expert, enterprising, engaged and inclusive.
At DIT there are more than thirty networks which support equality and showcase inclusivity across the organisation. Our active Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Network focuses on supporting ethnic minority staff to enjoy career progression and thrive as an empowered community, and on improving inclusion at all levels of the department. REACH also seeks to raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities facing ethnic minority-owned businesses, improve their access to export support, and increase the representation of ethnic minority-owned businesses in DIT’s activities.
Whether you join as an apprentice or senior leader, our diverse and inclusive professional environment will help you to grow and progress your career. We have various training opportunities and flexible working arrangements to enable you to thrive.
“DIT really cares about the people that work here and allows us to bring our full selves to work. As co-chairs of DIT’s Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) Network, we’ve organised fantastic events to celebrate and commemorate Black History Month, and we’re passionate about supporting UK ethnic minority businesses to succeed. It’s been great to see staff across all backgrounds so actively involved in our work, showing us that DIT is committed to improving diversity and inclusion.”
