The Black Oxford Untold Stories guided bus and walking tour is the first tour to challenge the misconception that historically Black students never studied at the University of Oxford.

Passengers will be treated to previously untold stories celebrating Oxford’s Black history at some of the city’s most iconic locations.

Visitors can enjoy the experience via City Sightseeing Oxford’s hop-on hop-off bus, take in the breathtaking views of Oxford’s picturesque spires from the top deck, and get up close with a walk through the city’s historic streets.

Led by acclaimed author and historian Pamela Roberts, her bespoke and engaging live commentary breathes life into the compelling narratives and illuminates the often-overlooked contributions of Black academics.

The tour comprises a 60-minute bus tour and a 30-minute walking tour.

Landmarks: Visit notable sites such as Rhodes House, the Pitt Rivers Museum, Sheldonian Theatre and colleges that have been pivotal in Black history.
