Researching Black British Histories

Wednesday 16 February 2022

Drawing out resonances between different periods to examine the current shape and direction of the field.

Postgraduate researchers Saffron East (History, UCL), Sue Lemos (History, Warwick), and Montaz Marche (History, Birmingham) will be joining us to discuss their current research on Black British histories.

The discussion will seek to draw out the historiographical resonances between research on different periods to examine the current shape and direction of the field. The session has been organised by the Birmingham Research Institute for History and Cultures (BRIHC), in collaboration with the Centre for Modern and Contemporary History (MCH).
