Redefining Normal: A New Approach to Supporting Foster Youth

Thursday 9 December 2021

Children in foster care are in crisis. You can make a difference. Join RedMane to learn strategies from two former foster care youth.

Alexis and Justin Black will describe their time in the foster care system and educate you on how you can help children like them. They will explain how they overcame a series of tragic events and learned to reject abusive patterns of their past, thereby intentionally breaking the cycle of generational violence and unhealthy behaviors.

This session will focus on Alexis and Justin sharing what caseworkers did (and didn’t do) that made the difference between success and failure in their own lives. You will walk away inspired, informed, and better equipped to make a difference in your daily work.
