Black Women’s Art of Storytelling

Monday 6 December 2021

Black women’s art of storytelling is an exploratory teleconference that engages the multi-dimensional lived experiences of black women.

Black women’s stories, those told and untold, daily undermine structures of dominance and create eke an existence where they self-defined and self-named their bodies. We use the cultural metaphor of the kitchen space, along with publi-cized narratives, as opened avenues for black women to reclaim their humanity, redeem their womanhood, restore their rights, and rejuvenate their souls.
