Join us on 30th September as we unveil the portrait images from the 2021 Black Women Rising Exhibition. Hosted by Denise Lewis OBE.
In 2019 we created the UK’s first all-Black cancer portrait exhibition which launched at the Copeland Gallery in Peckham’s Bussey Building, going on to tour London’s Southbank, The Oxo Tower and a ground-breaking hospital tour in south London.
Each exhibition centres around photographed portraits of a group of women carefully selected from our support groups, who have or have had cancer. The portraits often show personal scars and the physical after-effects of cancer treatment.
Join us on 30th September as we unveil the full portrait images from the 2021 Black Women Rising Exhibition .
The two hour event will be hosted by Denise Lewis OBE & includes a panel with the women featured in the exhibition who will share their cancer stories.
