Black Mothers in Conversation with Black Midwives

Wednesday 10 November 2021

The Society of African Caribbean Midwives is inviting ‘Black Midwives’, ‘Black Mothers’ and allies to this event. We want to have an open, honest and transparent conversation on how we can improve the maternity healthcare for black mothers.

The event includes three panel discussions and a Q&A session where we will review the questions below:

  • How does culture impact on the care midwives deliver?
  • What do we need to do differently to improve black women’s outcome and experiences?
  • How can black midwives influence change in policy and practice?

This is an online event and will take place on Zoom.
