Spoken word poetry event on all things relating to Black African/Caribbeanness!

 

Black history is the story of all of us and at this round of Can You Poet, there will be spoken word pieces on not just Black history but also issues relating to anti-Blackness worldwide, including colourism and misogynoir.

Discourses to identity, racism, diaspora will be on display this Black History Month. Saints on Saint Giles have kindly offered their space and Can You Poet is glad support independent and Black-owned businesses.

Featuring a guest speaker TBA, this session also acts as our first in-person post-lockdown comeback gig.

This event will be recorded for those at home.
