Shingai

Friday 17th June

Too Bold is the debut solo album from Noisettes frontwoman Shingai, packing a soulful spirit and an effervescent sound.

More than a decade after the Noisettes spun into the charts, their music is enjoying viral success again, on TikTok. But Shingai, their legendary frontwoman and bassist, has been busy writing a new chapter.

This album’s sound mixes up Shingai’s London, Bantu and Zimbabwean heritage, and single ‘No Fear’, made in collaboration with Zimbabwean producer Verseless, takes influence from the South African house sub-genre, Amapiano.

Lyrically the album works with themes of rising above perplexing times, being resilient, standing your ground and confronting the struggle.

In short, it’s an invitation to keep the optimist alive within us and be better in every way.
