A tour around Brixton, embracing the culture, the street art, markets and black history

This walk is about regeneration and re-gentrification. Did you know it has its own currency? Brixton has an amazing ‘vibe’, street art and some very diverse firsts all which happened in a small area. It also has some amazing markets. So many famous people have lived in Brixton including David Bowie, Sharon Osborne, Max Wall, John Mayor and Freddie ‘Parrot faced’ Davies (remember him!) So many famous household stores originated from the area. It also has many political firsts. It even has own windmill (although we won’t be visiting that)! There are of course some cultural and topical firsts especially around the Windrush Square area where the walk will end.
