Author and researcher Dr Rochelle Rowe joins us to discuss her extensive research on Caribbean gender relations and the intersection between beauty, race, and nation at the decline of the British Empire. Her new book Imagining Caribbean Womanhood: Race, National and Beauty Competitions, 1929-70 examines the history and theory of beauty in the British Caribbean.
