Come along and learn the mesmerising rhythms of Africa! Taking rhythms from Ghana, Guinea, Sengal and beyond, these workshops are perfect for anyone looking to try out djembe drumming and/or brush up on skills. Mostly, it is the perfect chance to meet new friends and make music in an informal setting!
**Tickets are not free, but payable on the door – £10 including djembe hire, £7.50 without, but please use this page to let us know you are attending.**
FAQs
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Anyone over the age of 8 is welcome. Under 16’s must be accompanied by a parent for the duration of the workshop.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is limited partking at the Church but onroad parking alongside Maidstone Road.
Do I need to bring my own djembe?
Drums are provided on request – we just ask for a slightly higher fee in case of accidental damage.
