In this major exhibition, Portuguese artist Araújo uses photography, art installations and video to explore how the trauma of the colonial encounter continues to haunt the modern world. His technique is to create seductive artworks that prompt questions about how Europe can overturn historical stereotypes and foster equal relationships with its diverse immigrant communities.
This is the first solo show in the UK for this internationally renowned artist, and includes new commissions and never-before-seen works.
