Extraordinary Voices Of Reggae: The Chosen Few, Winston Reedy & Fredericka Tibbs

Wednesday 18th May

Three legendary reggae acts, one night of timeless music.

We are bringing together some of the pioneers who crafted the reggae sound during the golden age of Jamaican music.

One of the most revered reggae groups of the 1970s, The Chosen Few not only had an enviable string of hits across the decade but also toured the United States, Canada, and England. Formed in Kingston, Jamaica, they quickly climbed to the stop of the scene with three album releases on the famed Trojan Records.

Winston Reedyis one of the most successful UK reggae singers, most recognised as the lead vocalist for the Cimarons. His talent was recognised across the global music scene, leading to opportunities to work with some of the industry’s top names, including Jimmy Cliff, Dennis Brown, The Pioneers and Paul McCartney.

Fredericka Tibbs has accompanied many of Reggae’s top acts on stages around the world as a backing vocalist; harmony arrangement being one of her strengths. This has led her to tour the world with artists such as the late Delroy Wilson, Gregory Issacs, Tyrone Taylor, Alton Ellis, BB Seaton, Little Roy, Judge Dread, Dave Barker, Dennis Brown and many more.
