50th Anniversary Of Sun Ra’s Space Is The Place

Tuesday 31st January

It’s difficult to really put into perspective the sheer scope and weight of influence that Sun Ra and his Arkestra had, not only in the music world, but also in the landscapes of religion, philosophy, race and theology.

A key figure in the Afrofuturism movement was Sun Ra’s mythical presence; it often felt like he transcended humanity with his approach to songwriting.

This January, Emanative’s band joins us to commemorate the life and music of Sun Ra for the 50th Anniversary of Space Is The Place.
