As part of the University of Bedfordshire’s Black History Month celebrations, the Race Equality Network (REN) will be welcoming Professor Charles Egbu, Vice-Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University,
to discuss his career and plans for the future.
Professor Rebecca Bunting, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire, will be hosting this webinar, alongside REN members.
Professor Egbu is thought to be the UK’s first black university Vice-Chancellor and will speak about his journey to becoming the Vice-Chancellor in the context of BME under-representation in higher education.

Professor Egbu was appointed as Leeds Trinity University Vice-Chancellor in November 2020.
Previously Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Experience at the University of East London. He is also a member of various external bodies, including the Advance HE Pro Vice-Chancellor Network and QAA Panel of Experts.
