The theme for Black History Month in October 2024 was, “reclaiming narratives”. Paterson Joseph is the Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University and a distinguished actor and author.

He has passion for sharing unheard or erased stories about Black British history, and will deliver a lecture on why it belongs to everyone and should be woven into all the places and spaces where British history is taught and discussed.

He will be joined by a panel comprising members of the Oxford Brookes University community to reflect on what they have heard through the lens of their own stories and experiences.
