Keeping your voice real in fiction – writer’s workshop

Sat 8 October, 1.30pm to 5pm.

The creative voice is one of the important, but intangible aspects of good prose writing. How have Black writers developed their creative voices? What can we do, as literary artists, to keep our voices real? Through a series of writing exercises, discussions and games, this workshop will help you to create an authentic voice in your fiction. Workshop facilitator: Delia Jarrett-Macauley is a local writer, a biographer and novelist of Sierra Leonean parentage. She has run several writers’ workshops and is the Chair of Council for the Caine Prize. Places limited – book on 0207 926 1105
