Decolonising The Curriculum In England’s Schools: Challenges And Success Stories

Thursday 10 October

Join us for an evening of discussion on why curriculum diversity matters in Multicultural Education in England’s schools as part of celebrating Black History Month.

Professor Feyisa Demie (Durham University) and Dr Richard Race (Teesside University) will share how history curricula side-line black histories and the contribution of ethnic minorities.

They also show how Lambeth schools use inclusive curricula to enrich history, arts and geography.

This interactive session includes a presentation, question and answer time, and open discussion.
