Formerly the lead vocalist for the 30-piece gospel choir, Sounds of Blackness, Ann Nesby struck out on her own in 1996 with her R&B hit “I’m Here for You”.

 

The 2x Grammy winner has a voice that will stop you in your tracks. She’s the real thing, the epitome of true soul-to-the-bone singing.

Sounds of Blackness is a vocal and instrumental ensemble from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, performing music from several genres music including gospel, R&B, soul, and jazz. Their very own Ann Nesby takes over the Jazz Cafe dance floor with her 8-piece band.
