Hailing from Los Angeles, Alex Isley comes from a musically rich and versatile family. Her maternal grandmother was an opera singer, and began classically-training Alex at age 12, while her father, Ernie, and his brothers, are collectively the R&B/Funk pioneers, The Isley Brothers.
Alex has collaborated with an array of artists, from Kendrick Lamar (“These Walls”) to Lucky Daye (“Good & Plenty” (remix), “CandyDrip” (album)), to PJ Morton (“How Deep Is Your Love (Piano version), “Still Believe”).
In November 2019, Alex and producer, Jack Dine, released a joint EP entitled ‘Wilton’, followed by their joint album,. In Fall 2022, she released a joint project with fellow Angeleno and legendary producer Terrace Martin, titled, “I Left My Heart In Ladera”.
Alex earned two grammy nominations in 2024 alomgside Robert Glasper and SiR, for their song, “Back To Love”.
