ERC Windrush Day Celebration Run 2024

Sunday 23 June

Emancipated Run Crew believes in community and honouring those who paved the way for us to be able to Run Free.

Come join us on Sunday 23 June 2024 for a fun-filled day celebrating Windrush Day we will take in a route of approximately 5k starting at the Windrush Monument – Waterloo Station and ending at the Windrush Square – Brixton (next to Ritzy Cinema) before heading to Jamaica National Bank – Brixton for a post-event social. Lace up your running and walking shoes and get ready to hit the pavement with fellow participants. This annual event is a great way to show your support and honor the Windrush generation. Whether you’re a seasoned runner and avid walker or someone just looking for a good time, this event is perfect for all levels.

Bring your flags, whistle and music as we give thanks to those people who crossed continents to find a new life in a hostile environment. We will continue to carry the baton and strive to leave this land a better place for us all.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to come together and commemorate an important piece of history.

We are the descendants of the Windrush Generation.
