The Three Kings Of The Blues

Friday 6 December

A celebration of the Three Kings of the Blues – BB King, Albert King and Freddie King.

All three have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and each of them were a major influence on the likes of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Peter Green and Mick Taylor.

This show features a selection of their best known tracks. From BB we have ‘Everyday I Have The Blues’ and his version of ‘The Thrill Is Gone’ for which he won a Grammy Award. From Albert we have ‘Crosscut Saw’, ‘Blues Power’ and ‘Born Under A Bad Sign’, and from Freddie ‘Hideaway’ and ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ plus a selection of their best known work.

Performed by the One Eyed Crow blues band with special guests.

Tickets for this event include a £1 venue restoration levy, included in the ticket price. This fee supports building investment at the Grade II-listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
