As Women’s History Month 2024 comes to an end, TAOBQ (the African Or Black Question)/BTWSC/African Histories Revisited launch The African Women’s History Zoom Weekender – a Zoomfest this weekend!
The programme, which is family-friendly and open to men, features exclusive Kwaku-directed BTWSC/African Histories Revisited videos and is moderated by community activist Sis Nana Asante.
It marks the 60th anniversary of the passing of Britain’s greatest ever activist Claudia Jones, the memory of educationalist Dame Jocelyn Barrow and other inspirational British African women, with a weekend filled with inspiring stories, and empowering discussions celebrating the rich history and achievements of African women in Britain.
From exploring the untold stories to discussing the challenges and triumphs of women today, this event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about women’s history and empowerment.
