Legends of Comedy is a special event bringing together some of the pioneers of UK Black Comedy. We bring legends from Television, Radio to Stand up comedy award winning comedians that have paved the way for African Caribbean comedians, actors and radio presenters today. Join us as we laugh and enjoy the best stand up comedy.

EDDIE NESTOR (MBE) : best known for his starring roles in The Real McCoy and Desmond’s, as well as playing a small role in Trainspotting.

ROBBIE GEE: best known for his Desmond’s character “Lee Stanley”, for appearing in Guy Ritchie’s crime caper Snatch, and for his comedy roles in TV series like The Real McCoy and The Crouches. He also appeared in the film Mean Machine, playing “Trojan”, Pirates of the Caribbean as “Shrimper”, Underworld as “Kahn”, and Dead Man Running as Curtis (Alongside 50 Cent).

KOJO ANIM: BGT 2019, Nick Cannon’s wild n out, film maker some of his original works include Kojo: Live & Kicking and Wasteman Diaries.

CURTIS WALKER: He starred in BBC comedy shows Paramount City, CBBC sitcom Kerching!, The Real McCoy and Blouse and Skirt. Walker was the pre-show warm up act for the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony.

JUNIOR SIMPSON He Starred in Love Actually (2003), High Heels and Low Lifes (2001) and Death in Paradise (2011).

RUDI LICKWOOD: One of the first black comedians on BBC The Stand Up Show fresh, original, contemporary and amusing.

This lunchtime show takes place at London’s most iconic comedy venues: The Comedy Show.

Please note that all comedians are subject to change. If for any reason an act has decided to pull out the show we will replace the act. In some cases reasonable notice is not given so we may not be able to find a suitable replacement at short notice.
