Robert Glasper Experiment + Support

Monday 14 November 2016, 8.00pm

Following last year’s acoustic trio gigs, Glasper revisits his electric side with a new version of the Experiment, including added DJ.

Expect him to continue to stake out new musical territory, drawing on jazz, hip hop, R&B and rock, and refusing to be defined by any one genre.

With his first night at KOKO almost sold out, we’re pleased to confirm a second show to meet demand.

‘It’s a short list of jazz pianists who have the wherewithal to drop a J Dilla reference into a Thelonious Monk cover but not many jazz pianists are Robert Glasper.’ (Los Angeles Times)

‘Robert Glasper Experiment’s late-night set was fired up by double-clack beats and woofy bass, tricky hi-hat figures and swirling textures.’
