Black History Month Festival Day: Celebrating Black Women from the Tanakh

Sunday 23th - Tuesday 27th October

Join the Jewish Museum London to celebrate two important women in the Tanakh- Zipporah, wife of Moses and the Queen of Sheba.

 

Both of these strong women are widely believed to have been black. Join us for fun activities to celebrate their stories.

  • Bake bread inspired by Black Jewish cuisine (2-3pm)
  • Handle Objects linked to Black Jewish Communities and find out more about the history behind these objects
  • Get creative with Arts and Crafts inspired by Black Jewish Art
  • Explore our galleries with a fun activity trail about Zipporah and the Queen of Sheba

All baking ingredients are vegetarian. Please note we are not a Kosher certified kitchen.
