You can visit black-owned businesses and organisations in a pop up market, have your photo taken as you explore traditional Moorish Fashion and hear from empowering leaders share their thoughts on the importance of representation of melanated communities in mainstream arts and heritage.
Khem Productions was founded in 2019 by Cristal Cole. Our mission is to empower and inspire the melanated community by reviving and retelling the forgotten history through stories. We strive to add to the arts with melanated descendant stories, pave the way for new untapped talent and celebrate melanated culture. By using the mediums of theatre, workshops and short films, we hope to celebrate and share knowledge from our past to create our future. We hope to support and collaborate with other projects, filmmakers, playwrights, actors, entrepreneurs and creatives across the arts industry. Our current project is a new play ‘Out of Time’ which will be touring in community centres and schools in Kent and London for young people.
