A biopic of Asa Phillip Randolph, a political activist in the 1920s who set about unionising porters in the Pullman Rail Company. Aided by Ashley Totten they were among the first to form a black-led union in the US and take on their bosses who were staunchly against the civil and workers’ rights movements.
