Our local learning centres provide an innovative education programme which includes practical learning support and motivational and confidence-building activities for children and young people aged 7-18. Our aim is to inspire students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to attain either a university place or another chosen aspiration.
Since IntoUniversity was founded in 2002, we have been driven by the belief that it is possible to change society for the better. And that belief has taken us a long way. Since those early days IntoUniversity has grown into the UK’s leading university access organisation and our staff, working in close-knit teams, are transforming the futures of thousands of young people each year.
Diversity and Inclusion at IntoUniversity
As a charity with social mobility as its core objective, IntoUniversity is wholly committed to equality of opportunity. We work with children and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds, and we believe that our staff team should be similarly diverse and representative. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be, and we are committed to building a culture where students, staff and volunteers are valued for the unique people they are.
Our Diversity and Inclusion Forum has oversight of the charity’s Diversity and Inclusion work and ensures that Diversity and Inclusion is a shared responsibility across the charity. Our aim is to empower all IntoUniversity staff members to champion Diversity and Inclusion in their roles and to live the charity’s Diversity and Inclusion values.

Our Graduate Scheme
Each year IntoUniversity recruits around 50 graduates on to our highly acclaimed Graduate Scheme. Joining the scheme means that your day will never be dull. Based in one of our local learning centres, you’ll work with young people and colleagues who will challenge and inspire you.
On joining us you’ll begin six weeks of intensive training and you will receive ongoing support and further training throughout the two-year Graduate Scheme and beyond. We’ll give you both a strong grounding in working with young people and a great introduction to a career in the charity sector.
