A BIPOC-only book club that centres decolonial thought with books that bring us back to ourselves, inspire hope and speak to our struggle for liberation.

Each month, we will explore the themes from our chosen book and what we’re taking away from the text, weaving our own stories into the mix. You’re welcome to attend even if you haven’t managed to read the book or finish it. For those who aren’t able to read the book, feel free to listen to the audiobook version

Marie-Teresa Hanna is a British Egyptian-Sudanese freelancer and writer. She recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at Brunel University London. Marie has previously performed at The Poetry Café and published work on various platforms, including the British Council website for #BritLitBerlin and Dardishi Zine II.
