Bio

I was born in Zambia but raised in Walthamstow East London. I am inspired by the women in my life – my grandmothers, mother, partner and all the amazing women all around the world.

There is a quote that states “I am not fragile like a flower, but fragile like a bomb” and in my life, the women around me have always demonstrated that.

The strongest figure in my life was my mother, not only because she was strong – but emotional, as well as smart and funny. Despite the social limitations of trying to raise 7 boys into men as a single parent, My Mother was a brave and fearless Black woman.

Nobody is perfect, but she did her very best and that is all you can ever ask for.

My partner is a lot like my mother, and I am blessed to have someone in my life with similar qualities as her to inspire me.

They say behind every great person, there is an even greater woman and my Art is a declaration of Praise to the ones that shaped me to be the man I am today.

The textures, colours and motions represent the strength and life that women bring into the world.

I believe to create is to serve and as an artist, I am here to serve through my creations.
