Being Black with a Successful Career in the Chemical Sciences

Tuesday 14 December 2021

Notable black academics will narrate their professional journey, highlighting obstacles and opportunities to inspire us.

There is a great need to address the under-representation of specific ethnic groups in senior roles across Higher Education (HE) institutions in the UK. We recognise that collaborating with different stakeholders is required to help diversify the curriculum in HE.

Through our workshops and research conferences and with your contribution and attendance, we will contribute to these important discussions on co-creating successes in academia by diversifying the leadership and decolonising the curriculum, because together we can make a difference.

In this workshop, notable black academics will narrate their professional journey, highlighting obstacles and opportunities to inspire us.

The Royal Society of Chemistry will provide pointers on how to develop a successful career in the chemical sciences.
