ASWAD

Monday 30 August 2021

With 21 studio albums stretched across 5 decades, Aswad is one of the most important reggae groups to ever emerge from the UK. Early hits from the 1970s like ‘Warrior Charge’ and ‘Three Babylon’ established a huge following for the band, which culminated in a UK number one hit with ‘Don’t Turn Around’ in 1988.

The band continued their assault on the UK charts with tracks such as ‘Give A Little Love’, ’54-46 Was My Number’, ‘Shine’, ‘Shy Guy’, ‘If I Was’, ‘Beauty’s Only Skin Deep’ and ‘Set Them Free’ working with The Wailers, Sting, Vanessa Mae, Janet Kay and Jah Shaka in the process
