Rooted in North Birmingham and located in the beautiful surroundings of Handsworth Park, Simmer Down is a free family music and arts festival, which celebrates Birmingham’s rich cultural diversity by paying tribute to the centrality of reggae and other musical genres that have contributed to Birmingham as an international city of culture.
In order to ensure safety at our festival, we are asking audience members to book a free ticket so that we can effectively conduct a Track and Trace system.
By booking your free Simmer Down Festival ticket you are confirming that you are not currently or 14 days before attending the festival will not have:
– Tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days before the festival
– Have had you or any members of your household isolating within the 14 days prior to the festival
– Have you had close contact with someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 in the 14 days leading to the festival
– Currently awaiting the result of a COVID-19 test
– Experienced any of the following symptoms in the 48 hours before the festival not linked to a pre-existing condition:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhoea
