#BlackLivesMatter – Model Solidarity Motion

Sun, 19 September 2021 19:00 – 22:00 BST

This model motion will assist Labour Party units and affiliates to develop their own solidarity motions in support of #BlackLivesMatter.

On 8th October 2020, Tulse Hill Labour passed a motion in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
The motion expresses our public support for and solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement and includes a clear acknowledgement of its relevance in the UK as we continue to fight and campaign against structural inequality, systemic anti-Black racism and injustice.
Developed by our Tulse Hill Labour BAME Forum, we have decided to share this motion as a model to assist other Labour activists, branches, CLPs, liberation forums, unions, socialist societies and affiliates to develop their own solidarity motions in support of #BlackLivesMatter.

We hope that comrades and activists will find this model motion helpful. The model can be modified to reflect local circumstances and priorities.
