The BAME Leadership in Local Government event on Wednesday 28th of October (6:00pm-7:30pm) is for BAME students and professionals and is ideal for those who would like to find out more about career opportunities and pathways into leadership within local government.
The virtual event will feature various prominent leaders from BAME backgrounds who will be sharing their knowledge, advice and answering any questions you may have. The event consists of a keynote speech, Panel Q&A and an optional networking opportunity.
Attendees will also get the opportunity to ask questions and network with BAME trainees and alumni from the National Graduate Development Programme (NGDP), a local government graduate development programme run by the Local Government Association (LGA).
NGDP trainees and alumni within the NGDP BAME Network have organised this event to provide insight to individuals from a BAME background who are interested in a career in Local Government, with the aim that one day the number of BAME senior leaders in local government will increase, to reflect the society we live in today.
