The Power of Possibility and Self-belief – Black History Month Panel & Networking Event

At MyKindaFuture we believe this and work hard to deliver on our social mission to ‘give every young person equally power and opportunity to shape their future.’ We are pleased to be working with a range of companies to host an event during Black History Month to celebrate the power of possibility and self-belief and achievement of black people in the UK and beyond. Join us for an inspirational evening with a chance to pose your questions to the panel and enjoy networking over drinks and nibbles.

We are pleased to announce the key note speaker for the evening:
Marjorie Ngwenya

Marjorie is Immediate Past President, a member of Council and member of the Management Board of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). Marjorie was elected by the IFoA Council to the presidential team in June 2016 and she was the first IFoA president to be based outside the UK. From 2009 to 2011 she was Editor of The Actuary magazine circulated to a worldwide readership of over 20,000.

As an actuary who is passionate about continuous development, she has given her time to teach undergraduate/postgraduate actuarial students at universities in the UK, Kenya and Armenia. She has also taught in Bulgaria, UK, India, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and Nigeria and delivered training to the insurance regulator of Mozambique. She is a Visiting Lecturer at Cass Business School, UK and has presented at a number of industry conferences.
