Songs by forgotten black British and African American composers, in association with Black History Month and the African American Art Song Alliance. A celebration of the Civil Rights movement that transformed the lives of black people, and which is in many ways still ongoing. Including songs by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Errollyn Wallen, Florence Price, Margaret Bonds, Undine Smith Moore and many others.

Presented by soprano Nadine Benjamin, hailed by Opera Now magazine as one of the top ten of a new generation of sopranos who are destined to have impressive careers, and baritone Julien van Mellaerts, winner of both the Kathleen Ferrier Award and Wigmore Hall International Song Competition 2017, with Nigel Foster (piano).
