Jessica Ogden was one of the leading young fashion designers in London in the 1990s and early 2000s, with a design aesthetic all about re-making, re-cycling and customising pre-used textiles. In a special Twilight Talk for Black History Month Professor Carol Tulloch returns to talk about her recent work on Ogden who now lives in Jamaica, her birthplace and family home. Tulloch will explore how the designer’s trademark practise of repair and re-use is rooted in the economic necessity and cultural tradition of many Jamaicans.
Tickets £10 adults / £8 students, available from Bath Box Office http://bathboxoffice.org.uk/whatson/re-use-and-re-purpose-understanding-jessica-ogden/
